Samuel Lane was born in Boston, MA in 1652, the oldest child of William and Mary Lane. He served in "King Phillips War" under Captain Turner in 1676. After the war he settled in Hadley, MA and married Sarah Dickinson in 1677.
They had two children while living at Hadley. About 1683, they moved to Suffield, CT where two more children were born.
Samuel died in 1690 and his wife remarried a year later.
