Jeffrey Ferris was born in England in 1610. He came to New England before 1635 for he was declared a freeman in Watertown, MA on May 6, 1635. He was one of the first settlers in Wethersfield, CT, and from there he moved to Greenwich where he was an original settler. he married Mary in 1634 and after she died in 1658 he married two more times. he moved to Stamford in 1660 or shortly thereafter.
