I Saw A Robin
I saw a robin
In the park today
He perched on a branch
And looked my way
He cocked his head
As if to say
"Aren't you glad
I'm here to stay
I've just flown in
From far away
On a southern breeze
From key bisque
I'll build a nest
Our eggs to lay
Our babies raise
On a summer's day
We'll feast them
On a rich buffet
Of earthen worms
And fruit broche
And when the frost
Nips the autumn day
And the air turns chill
We'll fly away
Until the breeze
Blows a southern way
And I return
On a springtime day"
