Tolkien's classic tales of Hobbits and Wizards and Kings, of friendship, of might and magic, of war and evil make rousing good reading at any time for any age. I have enjoyed reading these books again and again. Each time I read them I find something new, I see some new insight I didn't see before. Wonderful tales, I recommend them highly!!
