David Eddings

David Eddings was born in Washington State in 1931. He worked at many, from a grocery clerk to an English teacher, before he published his first novel in 1973. He frequently writes with the help of his wife Leigh.

My favorites of his books are the Belgariad & Mallorian Series. These are fantasy books with a twist. They are full of fun, adventure, good clean romance, love, joy, laughter, and the usual hate, war and destruction. The magic and marvels are definitly there and the reading is delightful. They are habit forming. I've read them all at least twice and I plan on reading them again!!

The Belgariad The Belgariad is the Story of The Promised one who could use the Sword of the Riven King. It is the quest for the stolen Jewel, the story of the world of Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress. It is a wonderful Story full of light and laughter, full of war and terror, full of love and caring. It is well worth the time to read every one.
Pawn of Prophecy
Queen of Sorcery
Magician's Gambit
Castle of Wizardry
Enchanters' End Game
The MalloreonThe son of the Riven King has been stolen and the king and queen are once again the pawns of prophecy. They must follow the trail of the kidnapper to rescue their son and fulfill the prophecy.
Guardians of the West
King of the Murgos
Demon Lord of Karanda
Sorceress of Darshiva
The Seeress of Kell
Belgarath the Sorcerer This is the story of the sorcerer and how he became a disciple of the God and a worker to fulfill the prophect. Lots of fun.
Polgara the SorceressThe story of Polgara, the beautiful Scorceress, daughter of Belgarath, the most powerful woman in the world, whose only real dream is to have a family and a home of her own.
The Riven CodexThe play book that tells the history and philosophy of each of the different people that you will find in these 12 books. It is fun to read after reading both series but a great one all by itself.
