Dear Daddy,
It’s Valentine’s Day, Daddy, and I wanted to tell you that I love you. I know we never said the words, but I love you. I always knew you loved me just because of the way you were. The gentle kindness you showed. You were always there for me even before I knew I needed you. You always gave freely from your rich store of love; you never held back, I never had any doubt about the love that surrounded me. Even though the words were never exchanged between us, the love was a tangible thread that connected us even when we were far apart. I felt your love and your concern across the miles and knew you would be there if I needed you. But I never told you that I love you. When you needed me – I came – because I loved you, because you needed me. But I never told you that I love you. And now it’s too late.
