Carolyn Hart is the author of ten "Death on Demand" mysteries. I love the breezy lighthearted style of the books. Death on Demand is a book store on an island off the Carolina coast. The Store is owned by Annie Lawrence who inherited it from her uncle who died under mysterious circumstances.

Annie and her boyfriend Max Darling confront murders, deal with a hostile Sheriff and his dingy mother and a load of eccentric neighbors, all in a days work.

Carolyn also writes a series about Henry O. But I don't personally care for them.
