Aline Griffeth was born in the United States. When she was working as a model in 1943, she was recruited by the infant CIA to train as a spy. She was sent to Spain and worked there as an operative throughout the War.

Her books cover her life as a spy, her romance with her future husband, her undercover adventures later in her life, and her encounters with the rich and famous from all over the world.

The Spy Wore Red	This book is the beginning. It details her adventures in Spain during WWII, her romance with her husband, and her brush with death
The Spy Went Dancing The Spy Wore Silk	These two books take place in later years when she is called into action again to use her social position and training to uncover spys during the cold war in Europe. All without her husband's knowledge. He never believed she had been and still was a spy.
The Well-Mannered Assassin	This is the story (fictionalized) of her personal brush with the Assassin named the Jackel. He apparently went to work in her husband's business in preparation for an assination attempt. Very interesting and exciting.
